Help, I am having 80's flashbacks!

There are some people who tell me that they know I was a child of the 80's. Every now and then I make comments about the 80's pop culture or get on a 80's music craze. I am sure I am not alone and there are others who get strange looks when they can quote phrases from Ferris Bueller's Day Off or the Breakfast Club.
I don't care if people think I am crazy. I love the 80's! I remember when dressing like Don Johnson's "Sonny Crockett" was considered cool. Only in the 80's. There was something unique about the 80's that set this decade apart from all the others. Sure, it had it's problems with various social issues. However, the 80's was a time period where not only it was cool to blend in with the crowd and be caught up in the latest fades, but it was also a search for individuality within the masses.
The 80's can be seen as the gateway into other decades. In Target Stores you can buy countless Play Station games. The video game industry is booming right now. With all the games out there, most people forget during the 80's a video game called Pac-Man swept the nation with a company called Atari. I remember if you owned an Atari system, you were considered fortunate. A lot has changed over the last two decades, and having seen all that progress, I am proud to say I was a child of the 80's.
